We’ve been to Rocky Point about half a dozen times and spent more than a month in total days on its sandy shores, but our last trip was by far our favorite for one reason: Kivoya.

As of now, Kivoya’s main properties are in Rocky Point Mexico aka Puerto Penasco. They operate many of the units of the two condo buildings, called Encanto Living and Luna Blanca, on Playa Miramar. To make everyone’s life easier, their office is located directly between the two buildings.

The check-in office and process rivals any Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt I have ever been to. The smiling face of the bilingual desk agent welcomes everyone who comes to check in. Check it took less than 3 minutes as they directed us to our rooms.

Nothing is worse than having to wait or not being able to access your vacation rental when you arrive. With Kivoya, this is an impossibility!

Unlike any other vacation rental, Kivoya has a resort-style gift shop. In case you forgot Tylenol, toothpaste, or any other necessity, they have your back. They also have some food and drinks in case you want a quick snack.

Usually, vacation rentals don’t come with staff. Kivoya does their best to staff certain vacation rentals. Our stay was at Encanto Living where we interacted with many Kivoya staff members from maids to the property manager himself!

Armando, the property manager, even gave us his cell phone in case we had any trouble. We actually had to use it when we got locked out of our room (something that would have taken hours to fix at a traditional vacation rental, but only took two minutes before we were back inside).

The staff at the office, in the gift shop, and cleaning the rooms were all terrific and had a smile on their face! Even though our Spanish isn’t muy bueno, the staff went above and beyond to make sure they said hello, asked us if we needed anything, and made our trip perfect.

One of the things I hate about traveling is trying to make where I’m staying feel like home. The biggest pain: grocery shopping.

Kivoya figured this out and completely removed the need to wander around a foreign city looking for a grocery store! If you use this service, Kivoya stocks your vacation rentals with the groceries you want before you even show up!!!!!

The town of Puerto Penasco is about 20 miles away. Instead of wasting an hour or two shopping, we walked into a fully stocked fridge right when we showed up. This allowed us to crack open a cerveza and head to the beach.

That’s not all Kivoya’s concierge service coordinates: excursions, massages, golf, dinners by the beach with a personal chef, breakfast to be brought to your room, buy luggage if your’s breaks, print off travel papers, and many other necessities.
